When a video game becomes a chore to play, especially within the first ten minutes, it's an early sign that it'll be bad. This is the case with Bound by Flame, an RPG-style game that borrows gameplay elements from several other--better--games such as Dragon Age, The Witcher, and God of War, and poorly executes them into its own painfully generic formula.
While there is character customization like most fantasy RPGs, it is embarrassingly limited, offering only choices of a name, face, and hair, and even these barely have ten different options. Even the main character himself is forgettable and unlikeable, fitting in well with the rest of the cast who suffer from horrific dialogue and voice acting.
Combat also has its flaws. Using the square and triangle buttons for both light and heavy attacks, you defeat a surprisingly diverse horde of enemies throughout the game....
So I think it's important to understand this isn't going to be everyone's piece of cake. If you prefer action or RPG games, this isn't for you. It's really one step above a point and click. The game isn't long but be prepared for long periods of time hunting down hidden clues that shouldn't have been hard to find.
The lack of wit and dialogue is what ruined this game. I didn't hate the game play and yes the graphics weren't great but this wasn't a complete waste of time to me, however the lack of witty lines and sarcasm killed this game. I think it should be understood that there won't ever be a good Sherlock Holmes game that is the equivalent of Assassins creed with chases and climbing up buildings but the one thing that is needed in a Sherlock Holmes game is good dialogue because that's what makes the character. Unfortunately there...
A couple of months ago, IGN wrote an editorial begging Sony to let us change our PSN names. The PlayStation Network launched in 2006 alongside PlayStation 3, and there's no way to change your name short of creating a new account, therefore losing all of your purchases, Trophies, friends, and more. (Sony has been known to manually change select users' names for various reasons, though you'll lose your Trophies if this happens.)
IGN brought this topic up in an interview with Sony Computer Entertainment America's President and CEO Shawn Layden. After all, changing PSN names is one of the single most-asked about features not yet on the Network. His answer surprised me, since he seemed to indicate that technical issues may not be standing in the way, as previously...

Outlast 2 is in development as a survival horror experience and will take place in the same universe as Outlast, according to an interview with Bloody Disgusting. It will have different characters and a different setting. Although the sequel won’t take place in the Mount Massive Asylum environment of the first, the developer said that it may return to it in the future.
“We might go back to Mount Massive Asylum one day, but for now we have new ideas and themes we’d like to explore and we think we’re cooking up something special,"
If you're looking to save a little cash on the PlayStation Store, now may be a good time for you to pounce. Sony has revealed one of its out-of-nowhere Flash Sales, and this one covers a wide array of games.
Sony doesn’t implicitly state so, but it's obvious that the theme of this sale is to celebrate female characters in games. Each and every game on sale either has a female protagonist, or otherwise prominently features strong female characters in supporting roles.
Here are the 21 games on sale, with what they usually cost and what they now cost.
